Moyes Out ( Released )
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

The most pathetic thing on here is the playground level insults and name calling. So much for a grown up debate - we’re all supporters of the same team!

Both are/were UEFA's third tier trophy.
Both had to be qualified via the league placing.
Winners of both competitions qualified for the UEFA Cup/League.

Nothing similar about them at all.

Pathetic you think the intertoto is a trophy win, doesn't count

"our first trophy in over 40 years"

It does make me laugh when people say that, considering we won pretty much the same thing 25 years ago.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Billy it’s quite simple,
Moyes brought us our highest points total in the prem, 65 points, a club record win streak in Europe and our first trophy in over 40 years.

Anybody would think he fucked your old lady the way you are on here constantly bashing him…. It’s pretty fucking weird, you weirdo!

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Yes he did not save us from relegation... and his Prem win percentage is lower than Curbs now...

Whatever stats his lovers want to throw at fans there are counter stats like his lose % higher than Bilic, Bonds and Redknapp

Having said that yes he had 2 good seasons in the prem 6th and 7th finishes and the football for 2/3 of that period was great high press and counter attacking... but its been woeful since new year 2022...

He wont change his methods and so why would we risk any further time or money or our prem status keeping him..

We do need to move on inc me and those fans of Moyes need to just give the new man time as he has to rebuild this squad so setting top 6 even as a stretch target is ridiculous so lets get realistic and a top half finish would be a good start given currently its relegation form.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
Moyes record is massively inflated by multiple easy win games against League 1 standard teams in Europe.

His league form alone hasn’t been good enough the last couple of years. It’s been fucking woeful since January.

He DID NOT save us from relegation. Moyes tinted spectacles for all that say that. It would be more accurate to say that we didn’t get relegated in the season Moyes took over from Pellegrini.

Moyes doesn’t improve players…

He destroys them…if not his favourites…

Good bye …enjoy your millions you conned from West Ham…f

Moyes leaves with a good record and his head held high. Most fans will thank him for that trophy win (even though it is rather tin pot and we got very lucky in the final to win it).

Three top half finishes in four seasons is indeed a good record, but as a club we need to be aiming higher than 9th.

I hope the club are appointing Lopetegui with a top 6 finish as the stretch target for next season.

"then has 4 full seasons of which 3 top half finishes"

Redknapp had four in five years, three consecutively (98,99,2000) on a fraction of the jock bastard's budget and the football was enjoyable to watch

Sums Moyes up really and his attitude to youth players and his obvious inability to coach and nurture them.

Casey and Earthy have probably been champing at the bit all season. yet Moyes gives them minutes in a dead rubber against a team going down. No pressure on him in that game.

I mean, fair play to him for giving them some minutes. But contrast that to Klopp at Liverpool - Who with serious injuries has introduced several key youth players this season who are now looking like PL players in their own right. And they played in big PL and cup games. We have had serious player resource issues this season and none of our youth players were anywhere to be seen.

Moyes disdain of the youth set up and his reluctance to have any faith in them in the big games is another thing that has cost him his job. And giving them some time against Luton, well, again fair play to him. But for me it was a bit like getting the Christmas decorations up on January 1st. All just seemed too little too late and a bit pointless. Our season was done and dusted weeks ago and none of us will ever know what our season could've been had Moyes taken some time to coach and nurture the youth players and use them correctly and efficiently when we needed them.

I know there are youth players at West Ham that are glad Moyes has gone so they can regain their hope of making it to the first team.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
This won’t go away for a while.
Whoever is next faces a massive rebuilding process in terms of the squad and the style of play. People will come on here to score points about two successful seasons from 3 or 4 years back.

Bottom line is the 3/4 of the last two seasons hasn’t been good enough, and the approach to the game is outdated and unsustainable. That’s why he had to go.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
I love the old ‘saved us from going down line’.

Amazing how you save a team that had never been in the bottom 3 by delivering the exact same number of points in the same number of games as the fella you took over from.

So it's 9th then
Comes in and saves us from going down, then has 4 full seasons of which 3 top half finishes, and in the one season finishing 14th we win a trophy, plus first time 3 seasons in Europe on trot
Seems pretty good record to me

But it seems being an armchair fan doesnt stop he she or they from understanding Moyes long list of limitations far better than someone who claims to go to games regularly... not sure what you are watching but its clearly not the football?!??
